Personal Accident Insurance
Through this benefit you will receive a lump sum payment should you die or suffer permanent total or partial disablement due to an accident, subject to acceptance of the claim by the insurer. The payment can be used for any purpose, helping you and your family adjust to your altered circumstances.
Life Assurance
This benefit is payable as a lump sum to your dependants in the event of your death whilst employed by HPE, paid at the discretion of the Trustees of the Life Assurance scheme.
Before your Life Assurance selections can be accepted and confirmed by the provider, you will be required to complete additional declarations inside myChoice (e.g. confirming you're 'Actively at Work').
You may also be required to complete additional underwriting checks (e.g. application form, tele-interview and in some cases medical review). Aon representatives will contact you with guidance on these steps and send three reminders. Failure to respond to these requests will result in cancellation of your myChoice selection.
Your selections will be confirmed and accepted by the provider only once the above declarations and underwriting checks have been completed. Salary sacrifice deductions may continue during this interim period, and any relevant adjustments will be made after the provider confirms the outcome of your underwriting check.
Death-in-Service Pension
This benefit is paid to your dependants in the event of your death whilst employed by HPE, paid at the discretion of the Trustees of the scheme.
